Legalising medicinal marijuana use requires not only evidence to support it, but morality according to the dignity of every person.
As a person who has professionally cared for those with terminal illness, I do appreciate the genuine concern by those considering medicinal marijuana in the relief of suffering by those people with terminal cancer and/or motor neurone disease.
Yet, my greatest concern in legalising a dangerous drug even for exceptional ‘‘medical’’ circumstances is that campaigners for decriminalising illegal and dangerous drugs will see this as a positive step for their immoral agenda.
