That was the drill on Sunday for the 300 participants in the third annual Step Up challenge.
House With No Steps community engagement officer Ray Warrington said the event raised more than $20,000 for the House With No Steps, with that amount being potentially higher when all the figures were finalised.
Individuals, corporate teams and fitness groups took on the challenge, which saw them climbing the steps of the western grandstand as many times as they could in one hour.
Mr Warrington said this year also saw the addition of a new fitness challenge - the stadium chase, which involved athletes running one person at a time up and down all of the stairs in the northern grandstand from beginning to end in a timed race.
"I know they've all got sore legs," he said.
Mr Warrington said it was a great turnout and thanked participants for their support.
He gave particular thanks to the region's fitness groups, which took part in a friendly competition, with a combined team from Work It Out Fitness and Summit Fitness the ultimate winner, climbing 1918 steps in one hour.
i98 FM was crowned the corporate team winner.
The funds raised will go towards supporting four House With No Steps services.
