Hearing Awareness Week runs from August 24-30 and is a national event co-ordinated by the Deafness Forum of Australia, the peak non-profit body for the hearing impaired community.
With more than 67 years' experience helping people to hear again, Australian Hearing is one of the country's leading hearing specialists, researchers and the largest provider of government-funded hearing services.
Australian Hearing has invited members of the Shellharbour community who already have hearing devices to bring them for a free clean.
Or for those yet to take charge of their hearing loss, an informative chat with experts about options is available and a free hearing check is offered.
A hearing bus will be stationed at Centre Health, Captain Cook Drive, Barrack Heights on August 25 from 1pm-4pm, Amcal Max Dapto on August 28 from 9am-noon and Amcal Max Warrawong August 29 from 9am-noon.
