The importance of bees to the local environment will be explained during a presentation conducted by bee enthusiast, Megan Halcroft from Bees Business.
Workshop participants will be shown how to identify native bees in the garden and ways to encourage more into their yard to improve garden harvests.
The seminar, to be held on Saturday, November 22, is on from 9.30am to 12.30pm, with a hands-on workshop from 1.15pm to 3.15pm used to build a bee habitat to take home.
The free activities are for Shellharbour City Council residents over the age of 14.
Bookings can be for the presentation or both the presentation and workshop, with location details provided when you book.
To book, call the council on 4221 6111.
