The facts are the ABC is not being shut down and the Abbott government is making a 5per cent reduction in waste to improve efficiency. This means over the next five years the ABC’s $1.2billion yearly budget will be reduced by $50million.
Alan Jones and Ray Hadley express their views freely and listeners can agree or disagree with them. Both these radio presenters allow people to discuss and debate with them on issues.
Australia’s public broadcaster does not allow serious debate and discussion unless it suits their left agenda. The pet campaigns of the left and ABC include climate change, same-sex marriage, attacking the Catholic Church, supporting illegal boat people and giving voice to Islamic terrorists.
However, the biggest campaign in which the ABC works hand in glove with Labor and the Greens is to attack Tony Abbott and undermine the Coalition at every moment.
The ABC is biased in favour of the hard left and critical of any conservative view. Conservative columnist Chris Kenny was depicted having sex with a dog by the ABC and it took them over six months to apologise.
And because the Abbott government was critical of green energy subsidies, the ABC highlighted a picture of Tony Abbott’s mother having sex with a solar panel. The ABC does not speak for all Australians because 50per cent are conservative and thus not fairly represented.

Privatise and we pay
It would seem that Mike Baird is hell-bent on selling or leasing the ‘‘poles and wires’’ of the electricity grid in NSW. I can’t say I agree with this policy, as historically any privatisation always leads to higher costs to the consumer. Also, the main beneficiary of this move seems to be only Sydney, with nothing whatsoever for the regional areas such as Wollongong. Baird has guaranteed he will not sell off these assets in National Party-held seats. If it is not right for them, what makes it all right for us to lose our infrastructure? Of course, Baird has to win the next election first, and that might be harder than he thinks.
Personally, I think above-ground poles and wires should all be removed and power lines put underground, and that should be a condition of any lease/sale. Then again, Baird and co might get buried first.

Toilet blunder
What and who is the high-paid nincompoop who designed Shellharbour Junction without a toilet? One pictures two small corrugated iron ones situated behind the station. What a stuff up!

Give back to people
With the price of oil plummeting, why are we not seeing the benefits at the pump? Australia has up to 233billion barrels of oil under Cooper Pedy, not to include what’s under WA. About time a democracy gave back to the people with cheaper fuel.

A karate quandary
Was with interest I noticed in your 26 things to try, see and do-promotion that I should come and see why parents and children are choosing Karate School as their #1 Marital Arts Centre in the Illawarra. Are we now promoting classes in domestic violence?
