Sales of lots at the 21-hectare Berkeley Road Industrial Estate are expected to ramp up over coming weeks with the construction of roads nearly finished.
There are 22 lots which range in size from 1669 square metres to 110,000 square metres.
Most of the lots at the 4Berkeley Road, Berkeley, estate range from 1850 square metres to 4296 square metres, which are suited to small businesses and small bulky goods/retail.
Elders Real Estate Wollongong principal Lou Niceski said the estate would appeal to developers or owner-occupiers who wanted to build their own workshop/warehouse.
The site is situated directly opposite the Nan Tien Temple entrance and is bordered by Berkeley Road, Brady Street and Industrial Road.
Mr Niceski said the new estate was located among major national companies and was within a few minutes’ drive of Port Kembla Harbour and Wollongong CBD.
‘‘This is prime industrial land which is very rare,’’ he said. ‘‘It’s the last parcel that I can think of anywhere in Wollongong.
‘‘To get something similar you’d have to go down south to Albion Park, Oak Flats or Nowra.’’
He said the roads within the estate were being surfaced and the lots were serviced by power, sewerage and water. Lots in stage one were ready for immediate settlement, while stage two would be available for settlement upon registration through the council, he said.
