The project was held on Saturday, June 20 as part of the CityServe Shellharbour effort to join with the council to improve a public space.
In the third of its kind in the city, the church-based group had collaborated with the council to coordinate the upgrade of an area of the city.
The past two successful projects involved more than 300 people making improvements to Little Park, Shellharbour Village and around the community centre at Albion Oval, Albion Park Rail. Both contributed a total of 1800 hours of volunteer labour.
The CityServe Shellharbour project focused on the area surrounding Albion Park Community Centre including the car park, gardens and a cemetery.
Works included concreting in the car park, gardening, painting and cleaning the area.
