So the South Coast can expect to see some long traffic queues as holidaymaker start heading home.

6pm: Heavy holiday traffic is still affecting northbound traffic on Lawrence Hargrave Drive at Stanwell Park.
Northbound traffic on the Hume Motorway near Picton Road at Wilton is also affected by holiday traffic, as is traffic in both directions on the Princes Highway at Farnell Avenue, Loftus.
5.45pm: Traffic back to normal on Bulli Pass – an earlier broken down car is no longer affecting northbound motorists.
5.30pm: A car breakdown is affecting northbound traffic on the Princes Highway at Bulli Pass.
5.15pm: The Transport Management Centre says queues have cleared at Albion Park Rail and Berry, so it should be a clear run if you’re heading through there.
5pm: Heavy holiday traffic is continuing to ease, despite motorists making their way home after school holidays and the long weekend.
- Northbound traffic on the Princes Highway in Albion Park Rail is now queued for 2km.
- Northbound traffic on the Princes Highway in Berry is now queued for 3.5km.
- Northbound traffic on the Princes Highway in South Nowra has eased.
Heavy holiday traffic is still affecting northbound traffic on Lawrence Hargrave Drive at Stanwell Park.
In the Royal National Park, the Wattamolla and Garie Beach car parks are no longer full. However, traffic is heavy on roads in and approaching the park, including the Princes Highway and Farnell Avenue.
4.30pm: Traffic has eased through Albion Park, where queues have fallen to two kilometres.
However, Berry’s have lengthened to 3.5 kilometres while the South Nowra queues remain at three kilometres.
4pm: From the Transport Management Centre.
Northbound traffic on the Princes Highway in Albion Park is now queued for six kilometres.
Northbound traffic on the Princes Highway in Berry is now queued for 2.5 kilometres.
Northbound traffic on the Princes Highway in South Nowra is queued for three kilometres.
3.10pm:
3.04pm: From the Transport Management Centre.
Northbound traffic on the Princes Highway in Albion Park is still queued for five kilometres. Short delays expected.
Northbound traffic on the Princes Highway in Berry is now queued for two kilometres. Short delays of a few minutes can be expected.
Northbound traffic on the Princes Highway in South Nowra is now queued for 7.5 kilometres. Delays of up to 40 minutes are being experienced.
Northbound queues on the Princes Highway in Batemans Bay have eased.
2.21pm: The Transport Management Centre is reporting “signifcant delays” for northbound traffic in several sections along the South Coast.
Northbound traffic on the Princes Highway in Albion Park is queued for 5km.
Northbound traffic on the Princes Highway in South Nowra is queued for 9km.
Northbound traffic on the Princes Highway in Batemans Bay is queued for 1.5km.
1.15pm: Heavy traffic has returned to Mollymook, with queues estimated to be at least three kilometres long.
12.52pm: Operation Slowdown continues today with police out in force. The operation started on Friday.
Statistics across the state for Sunday show one fatality, 57 major crashes and 25 people injured.
Police issued 1225 speeding infringements and conducted 53,733 breath tests, which led to 31 drink-driving charges.
12.37pm: Southbound traffic through South Nowra is backing up, with queues reported to be seven kilometres long.
12.24pm: A three-car accident on My Ousley at the off ramp from the Princes Motorway is affecting southbound traffic.
12.09pm: The traffic queues at Mollymook seem to have eased, but the lines of cars snaking through Berry is getting worse. Live Traffic is now reporting four kilometre queues through the town.
11.51am: The live cameras from the Transport Management Centre are showing the northbound lanes of the Princes Motorway through Albion Park are starting to see an increase in traffic.
11.44am: Live Traffic is reporting heavy northbound traffic along the Princes Highway between Mollymook and Milton, with queues stretching back 1.5 kilometres.
But traffic appears to be flowing steadily with delays estimated at only one minute.
The traditional bottle neck through the township of Berry is building up, with queues of at least 3.5 kilometres and delays of seven minutes.
