They had no idea about the fire that ripped through Maddens Plains on Friday afternoon, too focused on their big day.
After tying the knot at Austinmer’s Glastonbury Gardens they walked across the road for photos at Little Austi beach around 5pm.
‘’We didn’t realise the fires were happening at the time and then suddenly heard the chopper,’’ Mrs Scott said.
‘’The photographer realised the chopper was picking up water from behind us and had photobombed one of our photos, which actually turned out to be an amazing shot.
‘’It didn’t ruin any of the the magic of the day and the guests seemed to enjoy the show.’’
Mrs Scott said the wedding guests got to see planes and helicopters in action for majority of the evening from the Thirroul reception.
‘’It was good work from all of the emergency services as the fire seemed to be contained as quick as possible.’’
