That changed with Harlem Globetrotters Shane ‘Scooter’ Christensen and Corey ‘Thunder’ Law in town on Thursday.
Joined by players from the Illawarra Hawks, Wollongong Wolves and St George Illawarra Dragons, the Globetrotters gave a small taste of what they’ve become known for since 1926. The Globetrotters have played more than 26,000 games in 122 countries around the world in that time.
They will come to Wollongong on April 16.
“We are showcasing some of the best talent,”Globetrotters long shot specialist Corey ‘Thunder’ Law said.
“There will be some of the best high-flying dunks, alley oop passes and some long shots of course. It’s going to be great.”
