Campbell-Gillard came through the ranks during Latimore's four-season stint at the foot of the mountains and, while he always had the attributes, Latimore said it took a little while for him to find the mindset to go with it.
“In 2015 Reg came through and I think he played every game that season,” Latimore said.
“I got to play a lot of footy with him that year and he's come a long way in the last couple of years. He's a real enforcer at the moment, coming out of the line trying to hurt people and really making a statement.
“He was always a good player, I think he was a bit of a timid kid at times but as he came into first grade he's got a bit more confidence and belief in his ability. He's always had a big body and he's playing some really good footy at the moment.”
