To ban any medication being sold to drivers for the relief of coughs, colds, sore throats, and pain relief is something that even Donald Trump wouldn't be stupid enough to dabble with.
Every bus and train driver battles on in the cold and flu season, and take's legally available over the counter remedies.
Fail a drug test after taking these decade old remedies can see you lose your drivers licence and give you a criminal record.
This is law making gone mad and has not been thought through in any way shape or form.
The police will get me in the first week, as I, like everyone else take some sort of winter cough remedy.
Our hospitals will be bursting at the seams after this forces poor people to seek legally approved treatment for simple ailments.

KICKING UP A STINK
Shellharbour Council will be placing signage at Little Lake recreation area to request dog owners to pick up after their pets.
The lack of consideration by some pet owners is beyond belief and it needs to be addressed.
A sign requesting dog owners keep the area clean and indicating a fine is a start.
It would be a great encouragement if the the local paper would get behind the council, responsible caring dog owners and long suffering local residents and run an article to help bring attention to the new ruling.

GLOBAL WARMING HYPE
In response to the page 22 article, "Sky lights up as icy blast hits the region" (Illawarra Mercury, Saturday July 14, 2018), when it is record cold, the news reports do not mention global warming.
Saturday's icy blast is still with us four days later.
Outer Sydney suburbs and rural NSW have experienced frozen water pipes and ice on car windscreens.
Both Parkes and Cowra in New South Wales have set new all-time coldest temperature records on Monday (July 16) with the mercury dropping to -6.6 and -5.8 degrees respectively.
Both sites opened in 1958.
While the town of Dubbo recorded -6.0 degrees which was the coldest in 78 years. And Lithgow's temperature was -9.3 degrees which is the coldest since 1972.
The recent winter in America was an experience in freezing with some areas recording snow over ten feet deep.
People were found dead in their homes because the cold was so severe.
The evidence continues to show that global warming has been exaggerated by activists like Al Gore and bureaucrats masquerading as scientists, or is that scientists masquerading as bureaucrats.
