While Illawarra were on the wrong side of a 122-123 defeat against Melbourne United at WIN Entertainment Centre, the clash has since been labelled one of the best games in NBL history.
It was a view shared of both sides of the benches in the aftermath of the near three hour contest.
“I would put right up there with some of the craziest games I have ever been apart of,” Melbourne United coach Dean Vickerman said.
Hawks forward AJ Ogilvy admitted the thrilling contest was unlike any other that he’s played in during his extensive career.
“It’s definitely the toughest game I have ever played in,” he said.
“To play that many minutes and to lose is tough to swallow.”
