GOING BARKING MAD
Reading the story about more free ranging of dogs I have to state a few facts. Pensioners had a meeting at Thirroul library and are now charged $50 by council to use that room that used to be free. So despite paying rates the council feels the poor old pensioner should pay to interact with other humans. Different to dogs who need more space to interact. Ratepayers can pay for dogs but not pensioners. Is council trying to create a planet of the dogs who dont even pay rates. Council gave half of all beaches to dogs and owners to use( and still they feel that isn't enough.

In Coledale Sharkey Beach is free range yet people have to use the public pool to swim their dogs and walk their dogs on the beaches where no dogs are allowed. Council is failing to provide a safe and healthy environment for ratepayers. Ratepayers pay $1 million a year for seven animal rangers. Four during the week and three animal foreshore rangers.
In the recent six months not one person was fined and eight warnings were issued on beaches by these seven rangers. Council is failing in the job of dog owners doing the right thing. I counted 20 dog turds between Bulli caravan park and Woonona point. Great place for children to play. I think council is proud of themselves for creating the BrownMile for $10 million as they do nothing about stopping dog owners using it as a toilet. This really is farcical

POKING THE BEAR
The decision taken by New Guinea, Australia and the United States of America to “poke the bear” which is China, by considering an expansion of the existing port facilities at Lombrum on Manus Island could result in conflict. Particularly if the singular purpose of expanding Lombrum into a joint naval base is as reported, to reduce the Influence of China in the Pacific region. Should this be the situation it is one where “the horse has well and truly bolted!” Is it actually possible Scomo, and his band of “ideas people” were unaware when they announced what is obviously an electioneering ploy; that the Country Liberal Party (CLP) of the Northern Territory several years ago, signed a 99-year lease providing China control of Port Darwin?
An arrangement which, taken to its ultimate and ridiculous conclusion, could see the combined naval forces of New Guinea, Australia and the US either blockading Port Darwin to prevent Chinese vessels going to sea or, launching missions out of Lombrum against Chinese shipping in Port Darwin!

INEQUALITY AND INSTABILITY
Anarchy - lack of government in society. If we had had government regulation and control there would have been no need for a Banking Royal Commission. It is not a time for sorry. If the upper echelons in the business world turn out to be crooks – heads must roll.
These contrite po-faced actors – sly-eyed generals of deception – through sophisticated billion-dollar swindles, as common thieves, have earned the right for incarceration in jail.
Privatisation erodes responsible government to the extent; decisions become subservient to capitalist culture – the inherent breeding ground for inequality and political instability.
