Police have charged a man with kidnapping after he allegedly held a woman captive with a gun at a home in Warrawong on Sunday night.

About 6.30pm on Sunday, Lake Illawarra Police District officers responded to a call of a woman injured during a domestic in a home at Second Avenue.
Police allege a 29-year-old man was holding a 25-year-old woman hostage, threatening her with a gun.
After she managed to escape she called police.
The woman suffered only minor physical injuries to her arm and was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics.
Police later arrested the man outside a home on Second Avenue on Monday morning.
He has been charged with kidnapping with intent to cause bodily harm, breaching an AVO, drug possession and three counts of having a prohibited weapon.
He was refused bail and will appear at Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday.
