The Wollongong Eisteddfod celebrates 125 years of singing, dancing and performance this year with the registrations for the general sections closing April 5, and the dance sections closing April 12.

From May through to June, performers young and old will hope to impress judges at the array of sections from musical theatre, spoken word, character solo in costumer to dance troupes.
Major prizes this year include $10,000 for first prize in the Aria competition, $5000 for the Senior Piano, a $3000 Ballet Scholarship, and $1000 each for a Strings Scholarship and Wind Instruments Scholarship.
Venues this year include Centro CBD, Figtree Anglican Church, Wesley Church, Illawarra Performing Arts Centre and Wollongong Conservatorium of Music.
