Officers attached to the State Crime Command's Corrective Services Investigation Unit (CSIU) commenced an investigation in April 2019, following allegations an overseer employed at the correctional centre was involved in a relationship with a 35-year-old female inmate.
Following inquiries, a 34-year-old man was arrested at a home in Mount Annan on Friday.
The man was taken to Narellan Police Station and was charged with engage in relationship with inmate, cause safety risk to correctional centre.
He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear before Moss Vale Local Court on Tuesday, July 2.
