For the next two weeks the rooftop terrace will be open for ice-skating from 10am to 7pm daily and from 8pm for adults only on Friday and Saturday nights.
Ben Everson was one of the first to hit the ice overlooking North Beach on Saturday morning.
And he took along his two young daughters Zali,3, and Kyah 2.
"I thought it was really good. And my girls loved it to," Mr Everson said.
"We will definitely be coming back each year as the girls get older. It will be a really great school holiday activity for them".
Mr Everson said with his children being so young he brought his mother along to mind one while he skated with the other.
He said both girls really enjoyed that. The usually venture to Stuart Park on Saturday or Sunday so the new adventure was an added bonus.
"It was something different for the kids on the weekend. And the price was good as well."
Mr Everson said he had never ice skated before but enjoyed it just as much as the children.
"And you don't feel cold once you actually start moving around," he said.
