AN UNSTOPPABLE POWER
The answer to government inaction to address climate change was on the streets last Friday. It was the student's climate change strike number four. The mass involvement in the strike of grandparents to grandchildren delivered power to the people.

It is a power to save the planet and it challenges the power of governments that deny climate change. The students have unleashed an unstoppable power that is restoring power to the people.
Congratulations to all those who attended, thanks to the organisers for an excellent job well done and a big congratulation to the students.

NOTHING WILL CHANGE
Why don"t these protesters do it in front of the Chinese and Indian embassies rather than our parliament?
We could have zero emissions and nothing would change. They could always go to Tiananmen Square but I doubt they would be brave enough.

'LOVE THEM BOTH'
In response to the article "Pro-choicers confident of bill pass" (Illawarra Mercury, Tuesday September 17, 2019), I attended the Stand For Life Rally on Sunday September 15 with around 10,000 other people concerned over the "abortion to birth" bill before the NSW Parliament. Our chant was "love them both".
The previous day around 200 pro-choice abortion activists also came together at Hyde Park and their chant was "we will March, we will win, put the fetus in the bin".
Just look at the difference and ask yourself which is more positive and gives hope?

HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE
Making Kevin Andrews chairman of the parliamentary committee inquiring into Family Law is highly questionable. Making Pauline Hanson deputy chair of said committee, defies description.
Any possible amendments to the Family Law will require careful consideration of their cause and effect. Family Law is very complex in its application leading at times to extremely emotional outcomes.
Making it imperative common sense and compassion applies at every step. Scott Morrison in appointing Hanson deputy chair, chose to ignore not only her record of poor judgement and but also, her lack of ability.
It is obviously an appointment with another agenda in mind down the track.
A decision which could result in the five -member committee finally offering up recommendation's which would make the current "dog's breakfast" that is the Family Law, look almost appetising.
With Kevin Andrews ultra- Right agenda and a record during his ministerial career of resembling a "a bull in a china shop" a positive outcome is at best, remote.
With Pauline Hanson already having nailed her colours to the mast declaring (despite the absence of supportive proof), women are making false accusation of spousal abuse and are "liars using the system," constructive amendments to Family Law are obviously far beyond her skill set.
