The NBL will stream a selection of 2019-20 season games - including numerous Illawarra Hawks matches - live on Facebook Watch in the US.
The stream will feature Ball and fellow NBA draft prospect RJ Hampton, of the New Zealand Breakers. The pair will play in the NBL as part of the Next Stars program.
NBL Commissioner Jeremy Loeliger said the project would ensure huge exposure for NBL in the "biggest basketball market in the world".
"It also reinforces our status as the best basketball league in the world outside of the NBA during what is an incredibly exciting time for the sport in Australia and New Zealand," he said.
"There is a lot of interest in LaMelo and RJ ahead of next year's NBA draft but also the NBL and basketball here more broadly."
The Illawarra Hawks will host Sydney Kings in a NBL pre-season game this Sunday.
