Nikolovski, known as 'Boxer' or 'Boxer Rob' due to his prowess with his fists, was sentenced to at least 20 years behind bars in July 2018 after a jury found he masterminded the "revenge" shooting of Janceski in 2012.
The Crown case was that Nikolovski believed Janceski was responsible for killing his older brother Goran, who went missing in 2011 and is presumed dead, although his body has never been found.
Nikolovski was first charged over Janceski's death in January 2013, however prosecutors dropped a solicit to murder charge against him in September that year.
Nikolovski was re-arrested the following year and this time charged with being an accessory before the fact to murder.
He has always denied the charges against him.
Nikolovski's parents put up the deeds to two houses to secure their son's release from custody on strict bail.
However, Nikolovski was in violation of his nighttime curfew when he and three associates, including the victim, attended the Cringila Hotel in the early hours of March 29, 2018 for a few drinks.
Nikolovski got into an argument with a security guard and was still angry when the group returned to his Cordeaux Heights home just after 3am.
Nikolovski accused the victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, of owing him money and asked the man why he hadn't advertised his car for sale on Gumtree in order to recoup what was owed to him.
Nikolovski then held a knife to the victim's throat and threatened him before attacking the man with a series of punches to the head that rendered the victim unconscious.
The victim said when he woke up Nikolovski had hold of him around the neck and was trying to choke him.
The man said he lost control of his bowels and defecated at one stage during the ordeal.
"I've had enough, I've shit myself, I'm f--ked," the victim told Nikolovski, later telling police there was blood all over the carpet and lounge.
Nikolovski dragged the man to the bathroom and ordered him to clean himself up, then offered to drive Nikolovski to hospital for treatment on a cut to his foot.
Nikolovski said "are you going to tell the police?"
The victim replied "no, shit happens, no hard feelings".
Later that day Nikolovski sent the man multiple text messages apologising for what he'd done.
The court heard the victim was admitted to hospital with bleeding on the brain and had post-traumatic amnesia for almost a week after the beating. The victim gave police a statement on May 16 and Nikolovski was arrested on May 23.
He had been due to stand trial on a charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent in Wollongong District Court next week but on Tuesday entered a guilty plea to a downgraded charge of recklessly causing grievous bodily harm.
Nikolovski will face sentencing at a later date.
