McAndrew is one of six inclusions in the Blues' 13-man squad for their next two Marsh One-Day Cup matches. The Blues will face Victoria at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday and take on Tasmania in Hobart next Wednesday.
It's a tough ask for the 26-year-old and fellow all-rounders Daniel Sams, Arjun Nair, batsmen Jason Sangha and Nick Bertus and fast bowlers Harry Conway and Liam Hatcher who have been called up to replace NSW's six international cricketers.
Pat Cummins, Steve Smith, David Warner, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon are preparing for Australia's opening Test against Pakistan in Brisbane, starting next Thursday.
McAndrew, who is a member of the Sydney Thunder, will look to build on his debut for NSW in September.
He did not bat but dismissed Queensland opener Sam Heazlett, finishing with figures of 1/39 from 5.1 overs as the Bulls recorded a four-wicket win.
