A man has tried to give a nine-year-old boy a tablet before threatening him inside school grounds in Helensburgh.

The boy was sitting near the fence perimetre on Fletcher Street about 11.30am on Monday when he was approached by the man.
The boy refused to take the tablet prompting the man to threaten him before walking away heading south on Junction Street.
The boy told his teachers and parents, who reported it to Wollongong police on Thursday.
Police are investigating the incident and are appealing to speak with a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He has been described as about 157cm tall, aged in his 30s, a long brown beard, and was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper and brown tracksuit pants.
Police have asked the public for assistance and if anyone saw the incident they are urged to contact Wollongong Police Station on 4226 7899.
