The incident happened on the northbound on-ramp to the M1 Princes Motorway at Berkeley on Wednesday morning.
Dash cam footage of the crash taken from a truck travelling in the right-hand lane of the on-ramp shows the accident.
In the footage, there is also a truck pulling two trailers - both loaded with truck cabins - travelling in the left lane.
As the left lane begins to end and the truck and trailler starts to merge right, a black Holden HSV Commodore streaks by on the left shoulder.
Shortly after it disappears from view the noise of a crash can be heard on the video.
The truck and trailer in front slows down and pulls over past the black sedan, which has become a smoking wreck and was spun 180 degrees by the collision.
The truck and trailer's fuel tanks ruptured in the incident, spilling around 1000 litres of diesel onto the road.
Police said the Commodore either hit a safety barrier and was then pushed into the truck, or hit the truck first and then careered into the safety barrier.
Ambulance crews were called to the scene but amazingly no one was seriously injured.
The accident closed the M1 Princes Motorway on-ramp for three hours.
Police will be issuing an infringement notice and fine to the driver.
