On Tuesday Lake Illawarra police officers found and seized a ute, which was stolen from John Condon Bathroom Renovations at Osborne Street on January 20.
A home was searched on Fowlers Road, Koonawarra about 12pm following a Crime Stoppers tip-off alerting police to a stolen vehicle at the house.
The thieves remain on the loose as police continue to investigate the robbery.
The bathroom renovations business manager, who wished not to be named, said the neighbour was awoken about 4am to cars ramming the business' gate.
"The offenders have jumped the fence, stole two jackhammers, one large tile cutter and two utes, which they used to smash through the gates to get out," he said.
"There were at least two people involved."
The manager said police found one of the utes, which was in good condition, parked on a Lake Heights street two weeks ago.
"It is pretty disappointing for a small business to have equipment stolen as we can't do our work with out it," he said.
"We use the utes as part of our renovations to take stock to jobs or remove rubbish.
"The equipment was expensive and it had to be replaced immediately as otherwise we couldn't do our work.
"We also had to get a new gate and lock."
The jackhammer and tile cutter have not been found.
"We are pleased to have our property back and police have been very good through the whole process."
Acting Inspector Peter Northey appealed for anyone with information about the theft to contact Crime Stoppers.
"If you see something suspicious, then report it," he said.
