The home side will feature a host of emerging stars, including Jason Sangha, Mickey Edwards and Arjun Nair, many of whom have had a taste of Sheffield Shield cricket in recent years.
Oak Flats all-rounder Nathan McAndrew was initially selected, however he had to withdraw from the match.
Also in the team is Australian representative Steve O'Keefe and NSW Sheffield Shield coach Phil Jaques said the group will learn from their veteran teammate.
"Having a guy that's played for Australia is fantastic for those younger guys to learn off and play with, see what it's about," Jaques said.
"Guys like Jason Sangha and Nick Bertus have played first class this year. Daniel Sams, Arjun Nair and Mickey Edwards were in one-day squads. Charlie Stobo has first class experience.
"A lot of these guys have played first class cricket and they've been good in second XI. They should make a good account of themselves."
This week's match will act as a test run for North Dalton Park, the venue to host the Sheffield Shield final should the Blues secure hosting rights.
With NSW sitting 14 points clear in first and just two matches remaining, that situation is a near-certainty.
"I'm excited about it, it will be good to come home," Jaques said. "To play any games with the Blues in Wollongong is always fantastic.
"To coach a side in the final down there would be awesome. It would be great for NSW Cricket if we lift the trophy down there."
