Not Trevor Hall though, police claim.
Prosecutors will allege high quality CCTV cameras installed inside an East Corrimal house caught the 41-year-old red-handed and bare-bummed as he carried out a daring robbery on Wednesday morning.
Police claim it was just after 6am when Hall gained entry to the house by removing a fly screen and forcing open the bathroom window.
He allegedly climbed through the window and stood on a box inside the premises, causing the box to partially collapse.
Apparently distracted, Hall allegedly left a small black and grey screwdriver on the external window sill before entering.
CCTV footage allegedly captures Hall walk through the ground floor into a room at the front of the house, while four out of the five occupants were asleep upstairs and the fifth was taking a shower.
Hall, who is seen wearing a hooded jumper with a towel around his waist and no shoes, walks around the front room before discarding the towel, revealing a bare bum and a distinctive scar on his left thigh.
"The accused had no undergarments on and is captured walking in the room with his penis and buttocks exposed," police wrote in a set of fact sheets tendered to Wollongong Local Court.
Hall is then seen to pick up two laptops and a handbag, which contained a wallet, sunglasses, cash and credit cards.
He then leaves the property via the front door, taking the items with him.
The theft was discovered about an hour later, at which time the occupants reviewed the CCTV footage and discovered the disturbing incident.
They contacted police, who also viewed the footage and recognised Hall from previous dealings with him.
Officers attended Hall's home in Railway Street, Corrimal and placed him under arrest.
They discovered both laptops inside Hall's house, as well as the jumper he'd been wearing in the footage.
When interviewed, Hall told police he couldn't remember being at the location but recognised the black and grey screwdriver, telling officers it was "definitely his".
Police said Hall has a distinctive goatee and hair, which was clearly depicted in the CCTV footage from inside the home.
Hall was charged with breaking and entering in circumstances of aggravation, namely that people were inside the home at the time.
He fronted Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday afternoon and applied for bail, but it was refused on account of his lengthy criminal history. The case will return to court next Monday.
