The reigning NSW National Premier Leagues premiers will head to Sydney to take on Mt Druitt on Sunday and Wilkshire expects the side to immediately get their campaign back on track after what he described as an unacceptable performance.
"We've reflected, from staff to players, about how we let that happen," Wilkshire said.
"We need to be better, everyone's well aware. Everyone knows what we have to do, I've seen a great response at training and I expect to see that on Sunday."
The Wolves will take on a Mt Druitt side desperate to turn their season around, the Rangers reeling after a 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Sydney United 58 in a winless start to the season.
Wilkshire is contemplating a number of changes for the clash, with a final decision to be made on Saturday.
Last week's loss came as North Shore controlled the tempo of the match, frustrating Wollongong into errors and Wilkshire said it's imperative his side ensures this game is played at their pace.
"It will be a tough game going up to Mt Druitt. They're off the back of a thumping, they're not going to roll over, so we have to be up for the fight.
"We have the quality in the squad, we need to get back to doing what we do best. Our shape was poor, the tempo needs to be lifted. We've spoken about that, the intensity at which we played last year was a major factor in our success. We haven't been at that intensity so far."
