Her son was a passenger in the car at the time.
Police alleged they pulled the 44-year-old woman over on the Princes Highway at Waterfall at 4.30pm on Saturday after noticing the way she was driving the Toyota Hilux.
Her roadside breath test came back positive and she was arrested and taken to Sutherland Police Station.
A formal breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.182.
As the woman was a suspended driver, her blood alcohol limit was 0.02 rather than 0.05.
She was charged with high-range drink-driving and driving a motor vehicle whilst her licence was suspended.
The woman was granted conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on April 30.
