An Illawarra man accused of forcing a woman to the ground by her hair before punching and slapping her in the face will front Wollongong court on Wednesday.

Police said the man went to the East Corrimal home of a woman he knows on Saturday evening and allegedly assaulted her a number of times before fleeing.
The woman suffered bruising, swelling and cuts to her face, legs and arms as a result of the alleged assault.
The matter was reported to emergency services and Wollongong police and officers from the Southern Region Domestic Violence High Risk Offenders team investigated the incident
A 29-year-old man was arrested on Payne Street in Mangerton on Tuesday afternoon.
He was taken to Wollongong Police Station and charged with three counts of contravene AVO, assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV) and stalk/intimidate (DV).
The man was refused bail and is due to face Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday.
