Football South Coast has released plans for men's teams to contest a restructured Bert Bampton Cup in early July before the 2020 Illawarra Premier League comp gets under way. It is likely that sides will play each other once in the IPL.
While Bulli will aim to back up their 2019 Cup title win, coach Julio Miranda said he would prefer his side to return to the IPL action as soon as possible.
"I don't think Cup games are going to do anything for anybody," he said.
"From what I'm hearing, there are going to be less competition games. I think they should be looking at more competition games rather than Cup games."
Miranda, who has taken over the reins in 2020, said he was "stoked" with his squad.
"We've got some new recruits and young guys, and I'm really happy with where we're at at the moment," he said.
"I thought we were looking really good for our first round game but I suppose everyone's in the same boat. We got back a few weeks ago, whenever restrictions were lifted somewhat. But all the boys are really keen and I can't fault them at the moment, they've been going really well."
