Beveridge, the 21-year-old son of former Illawarra Hawks coach Rob Beveridge, chose not to attend Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday morning for the first mention of his matter.
His lawyer formally entered pleas of not guilty to four criminal charges via email.
Police will allege Beveridge groomed a number of girls, aged between 14 and 16, via social media and requested explicit photos of them between April 2017 and January this year.
It's further alleged Beveridge supplied alcohol to a 15-year-old girl in January.
Police launched an investigation and raided Beveridge's home in Wollongong on June 16, seizing a number of electronic items for forensic examination.
Following further inquiries, the 21-year-old was arrested at Wollongong Police Station about 3pm on July 10.
He was charged with grooming a child for unlawful sexual activity and incite aggravated indecency.
Beveridge was granted conditional bail by police.
The 21-year-old was the head coach of the boys' under 14 Illawarra rep squad, and the development manager at Basketball Illawarra.
He has since resigned from the organisation.
In court on Tuesday, Registrar Bruiceen Coulthard adjourned the case for six weeks for detectives to begin serving the brief of evidence on Beveridge's legal team.
The case, which is being prosecuted by a representative of the Director of Public Prosecutions, will return to court on October 21 for further mention.
Beveridge's bail was continued.
