A GAME of two halves. It's often a cliche but there's no other way to describe the 22-all draw Jamberoo and Gerringong fought out at Kevin Walsh Oval on Saturday.

The home side led 18-0, then trailed 22-18 before grabbing a late try to square the ledger. It left both coaches grateful to come away with a point, though Roos coach Jono Dallas felt his side had let more slip after surrendering their commanding halftime lead.
"There must have been something in the air running that way," Dallas said.
"In the first half we defended our line a lot and we had a lot of good resolve down there and we seemed to score when we got down their end. In the second half we just couldn't finish a defensive set, we'd kick all right, get down there and tackle but we kept giving penalties on [tackle] four or five.
"Thats your own fault when you give penalties away and we just cruelled ourselves in the first 30 minutes of that second half. We just didn't give ourselves a chance. It was frustrating but we were lucky enough to pinch a point in the end, we deserved something out of it."
The draw sees Gerringong retain top spot on the ladder but it was the second time the Lions have missed the jump in as many weeks.
They were once again good enough to reel their opposition in, but coach Mick Cronin said it's something his side will need to address.
"We're our own worst enemy in some ways," Cronin said.
"You've got to give them credit, they defended well, but the number of times we handed over the ball without playing out our six... they just get confidence out of it.
"I give my blokes credit, they were down 18-0 and looked like anything could happen but they dug in and played the second half like we should've played the first. We went back to what we talk about, playing direct and earning the right to play football.
"We didn't earn the right in the first half, in the second half we earned the right to play. In the end I'll cop the draw, we've got the bye next week and you'd like to think we'll finish in the top three from where we are."
