John Robert Booth did not appear at Kiama Local Court on Monday, but a letter was provided to the court that said Mr Booth was entering pleas of not guilty.
Mr Booth has been charged with six counts of sexually touching another person without consent.
The charges relate to alleged incidents at a Kiama swimming pool last October.
On Saturday, October 3, two girls aged nine and 11 were swimming at the pool when a man allegedly swam close to them and touched them on the leg area.
Five days later, a 10-year-old girl and an 11-year-old girl were at the same pool when the man allegedly touched their backs and legs underwater.
On both occasions, the incidents were reported to the pool staff and police.
Police arrested and charged Mr Booth in December after detectives from the Lake Illawarra Police District undertook an investigation.
He will appear at Wollongong Local Court next month.
