His presence can only be detected by the chocolate eggs he leaves in his wake, or the occasional nibbled carrot.
This year, however, the Easter Bunny made an unconventional appearance in Fairy Meadow.
When he heard the annual Fairy Meadow Easter egg hunt was cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, Mr E Bunny decided local kids deserved an extra treat.
With the assistance of a crew of special helpers from One Agency Real Estate he made his way down Balgownie Road, wound through Alexander Street, Breda Steet, Brian Street and Balfour Street before turning onto Lawson Street, where William Douglas, aged six, and his brother Sam were waiting.
William and Sam wore bunny ears purchased especially for the occasion.
"I've been waiting all week," William said.
The energy on the street as Mr E Bunny pulled into view, heralded by ringing bells, was palpable.
William was not disappointed - not only did he get to meet the rabbit in question, he also received several high-fives.
The procession continued along Tobruk Avenue and Balmoral Street to Hopewood Crescent, where Indie Mutch, aged 12, and Matilda Mutch, aged four, waited patiently.

Luckily the Easter Bunny has an unlimited supply of eggs, and was just as generous with the children on Hopewood Crescent as he had been on Lawson Street.
Spokesperson for Mr E Bunny, Joanne Danckwardt, said he was blown away by how patient and polite the children of Fairy Meadow were.
Although he had not got any sleep, Mr E Bunny was a class act - he said the smiles of all the children who came out kept him going.
We hope he gets to put his feet up and enjoy a fermented carrot juice before he begins his preparations for next year.
