Off-contract at the end of the year, the 30-year-old is yet to receive a new deal from the Dragons.
Norman's uncertain future comes as Anthony Griffin continues to remake the roster in his image. A host of players have arrived at the club, including Andrew McCullough and Josh McGuire, with Francis Molo joining the side next year.
Fullback Matt Dufty has been told he will not be re-signed beyond 2021, with winger Jordan Pereira also expected to depart at the end of the season.
Norman's fate is likely the next to be decided, however he isn't starting to worry about what the future holds.
"I don't have a contract for next year yet, so I guess I'm looking for a job next year," Norman said.
"I'm a pretty kickback guy, I believe what will be will be. We're starting to get a few troops back in our squad, if we have a strong finish towards the back-end of the year, footy always looks after itself and I guess we'll start talking then. I'm not too worried about it at the moment."
Norman will play his 50th game in the Red V when St George Illawarra take on the Bulldogs on Monday.
It's been a rocky month since the teams last faced off, the Dragons losing three on the trot before returning to form with a big victory over the Broncos last Thursday.
Much like the rest of his team, Norman has been inconsistent throughout that period. The five-eighth has been brilliant in patches but poor in others.
The win over Brisbane has the side riding high and the five-eighth said the key is to string multiple consistent performances together.
"It will be tough. It was 6-0 at halftime when we played them last, we held the ball and ran away with it.
"With the Dogs, we know what you're going to get. They're going to have a crack every week so we're not taking them lightly. If we don't aim up, they'll get us.
"We spoke about that today as well, so we can't be going in tippy-toeing on Monday and think we're going to get the job done because they have a red-hot crack every week."
Norman was in Wollongong on Wednesday rather than with his former Queensland teammates in Townsville, the five-eighth missing selection for the Maroons for the second-straight year.
After making his debut in the 2019 decider, the former Brisbane and Parramatta half now sits behind Cameron Munster, Daly Cherry-Evans, Harry Grant, Ben Hunt, Reed Mahoney and AJ Brimson in the Queensland pecking order.
While he would like to represent his state for a second time, Norman said his current focus remains on leading the Dragons to the finals and securing himself a new contract.
"I haven't even thought about it," Norman said of Origin selection. "You've got one of the best players in the world in my position in Cam Munster, we all know how good he plays in the arena."
