A Wollongong man will face court today accused of holding up a convenience store with a knife on Monday.

Police will allege the 28-year-old entered the grocery store on Crown Street just before 1.30pm and threatened a male employee with a knife.
The man fled with cash and the incident was reported to police.
Wollongong detectives canvassed the area, arresting the man a short time later at a unit on Kembla Street.
He was taken to Wollongong Police Station and charged with robbery while armed with offensive weapon and intimidation.
He was remanded in custody without bail overnight to face Wollongong Local Court today.
