This is the highest number of cases recorded in the district since the start of the pandemic - the previous peak of 103 cases was on September 23.
Only 17 of these are linked to known cases.

This is up from 71 cases on Wednesday, 48 cases on Tuesday, and 24 cases on Monday.
Of Thursday's cases, 92 were from the Wollongong Local Government Area (LGA), 19 were from Shellharbour LGA, eight from Shoalhaven LGA and four from Kiama LGA.
As at 8pm, December 22 there were 11 patients in hospital in the district as a result of COVID-19.
Postcodes for confirmed cases are provided below, as a guide to alert the community who live in these areas that COVID-19 may be circulating in their suburb and surrounds. Be extra vigilant when leaving their home, monitor for symptoms and getting tested if you feel unwell.
Wollongong affected postcodes are 2500, with 29 cases; 2506 with two; 2508 with three; 2515 with six; 2516 with six; 2517 with six; 2518 with four; 2519 with 11; 2525 with five; 2526 with six; 2530 with 14.
Shellharbour affected postcodes are 2527 with four; 2528 with seven; 2529 with eight.
Shoalhaven affected postcodes are 2535 with one; 2539 with two; 2540 with three; 2541 with two.
Kiama affected postcodes are 2533 with three and 2534 with one.
There have been 3146 total community acquired COVID-19 cases reported in the district since June 16, when the first case in this outbreak was reported.
Across the state, more than 5700 new cases in total were recorded on Thursday.
An unvaccinated man in his 40s from western Sydney with underlying health conditions died from the virus.
The number of people in hospital has climbed to 347, up 45, with 45 in ICU, 13 of whom are ventilated.
NSW Health says most patients are unvaccinated.
Meantime, Illawarra residents have reported receiving case alerts for multiple venues where they might have been exposed to COVID-19.
Visitors who checked into Warilla Bowling Recreation Club on Wednesday, December 22, were sent a NSW Health notification today advising them of the potential exposure risk.
People who attended Dapto Mall on December 17 and Dapto Leagues Club on December 19 have also received case alerts.
