The volunteer-run organisation, which lends items "you may only need once", has been operating out of a garage at the old Bulli Bowling Club.
The library has been using the space free of charge since 2019 but development at the club means it needs to move on.
Co-chair of the Library of Things, Alanna Linn, said the group is flexible about the space it needs.
"We just need somewhere we can put up shelves, have a bit of electricity and a place where people can feel safe and comfortable," Ms Linn said.
"All we really need is a bigger shed, a garage.
"Even a temporary home that we can use for the rest of the year until we find a permanent home."
The library is now open on Saturdays only, having been hit hard by COVID-19.
The charity, Ms Linn said, had to shut twice during the lockdown periods, and, as a consequence, lost many volunteers.
"We opened in the middle of 2019. We were really growing, we had new members joining, we had big plans for 2020. And then COVID hit.
"We've managed to survive, but we have had to reduce our hours because we couldn't get enough volunteers anymore," she said.
Ms Linn is optimistic the charity will return to its pre-pandemic success soon.
"We're growing again. We have had quite a lot of new interest and new people join in the last couple of months since we've started going back to normal, so that's been really nice."
The Make-Do initiative allows people to borrow "things" such as gardening tools, sewing machines, jumping castles and musical instruments for a yearly, low-cost fee.
