BOOKIES ALWAYS RIGHT
According to a well-known corporate bookmaker Turnbull is at odds of $1.33 to lead the Liberal Party into the next Federal Election and $3.00 to be replaced by another politician.

DIVERSITY IS GOOD
Richard Burnett provides praise for the impending arrival of Sky News.
Diversity of services must be a good thing. However, criticism of the ABC as one-sided does not bear up to scrutiny.
Several reviews and ACMA investigations have consistently found allegations of biased unfounded.
Indeed, the one that found a slight bias in election coverage one year was to the coalition.
There was a recent one that did uphold a complaint about a story regarding Tony Abbott. But speaking of Abbott, it was he who stood up in Parliament and thanked the ABC after the documentary series 'Labor in Power' went to air.
Four Corners have done detailed exposes on all the major parties including the factional in fighting in the Greens.
The 7.30 Report recently broke a story on sexual harassment in the Greens which has lead to internal investigation.
And what other network would air a show such as Media Watch which scrutinises and exposes poor journalism including from the ABC on occasion.
With the rise of the shock jock and fact deficient opinion, as well as the merging of other services, a robust independent media organisation such as the ABC is needed more than ever.

GET BEHIND BEN
As a Dragon supporter for over 60 years I find it very disturbing to see some fans and the media blaming Ben Hunt for a drop off in the teams form.
The whole team is at fault and needs to get back to their early season form.
To treat Ben as some are doing is totally unfair to him and in fact his entire family.
This guy is a tremendous player and a drop off in form is not exclusive to him, but all players throughout the season.
Please give the guy a break and standby for him to soon fire as we all know he can.

ALL THE SAME
In reply to the page 12 article "Turnbull gets green light on energy policy" (Illawarra Mercury, Wednesday August 15, 2018), the picture that is accompanying this article makes it clear.
Turnbull and Frydenberg look like a pair global warming love-birds.
Thanks to Turnbull and his team of leftist infiltrators the public cannot see a clear distinction between the Greens, Labor, Nationals and Liberals.
The conservative voter has no representation because Turnbull and Shorten agree about 80 percent of the time, including geneflecting to the United Nations while giving the middle finger to the Australian people.
And how are the Liberal/National Coalition going to fight the Labor/Green Alliance on a range of issues when they virtually have identical policies?
