Illawarra pro-wrestling promotion Rock ‘n’ Roll Wrestling will host a ‘Halloween Havoc’ show at City Diggers, Wollongong on November 2.
Holly (real name: Robert William Howard) will wrestle in the show’s main event.
Howard enjoyed a 15-year career with WWE, including being a former tag team champion and hardcore champion.
He performed in WWE under various guises, but was best known as ‘Bob Holly’ and ‘Hardcore Holly’.
Howard released his autobiography, The Hardcore Truth: The Bob Holly Story, in 2013.
Rock ‘n’ Roll Wrestling has previously booked ex-WWE stars Ryback and Tenille ‘Emma’ Dashwood.
Promoter Luke Potter said the show would take place at their new venue, where they planned to run monthly shows in 2019.
Tickets: www.rockandrollwrestling.com.
Potter is also head trainer at the Illawarra’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Wrestling Academy, teaching aspiring grapplers the intricacies of the craft.
Aside from wrestling at the Wollongong show, Potter said Howard would be running the academy for the week, imparting his considerable knowledge on the school’s students.
“I want to start giving all the students the chance to learn from people like him,” Potter said.
“He’s a 20-odd year veteran, and it’s a great opportunity for the students. Bob will be in the ring with them and everything.
“He’s well-respected, a veteran and one of the toughest guys in the industry.”
