National heats for open mic competition RAW Comedy are now under way, allowing aspiring comics to launch into LOLs and take the brave leap into comedy.

The Melbourne International Comedy Festival has been presenting RAW Comedy for 23 years, with thousands of performers participating at heats around the country.
The Wollongong heat will take place at Wollongong Town Hall on Thursday, February 21 at 8pm. Doors are at 7.30pm.
State and territory-wide events have already kicked off, with the best to go on to battle it out in preliminary finals around the country.
From there, winners head to the Melbourne Town Hall for the RAW Comedy National Grand Final on Sunday, April 14.
The winner will be laughing all the way to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where they’ll have a chance to compete in the So You Think You’re Funny? comedy competition.
RAW Comedy is open to competitors aged 17-plus years.
Past competitors have included Hannah Gadsby, Ronny Chieng, Celia Pacquola, Anne Edmonds, Luke McGregor and Matt Okine.
