On Wednesday, new dates for the much anticipated Under The Southern Stars concert series were announced, with the addition of a legendary music act, and it kicks off in the Illawarra on April 30.
"Dream Police" hit-makers Cheap Trick will join alternative rockers Stone Temple Pilots and Bush at the WIN Entertainment Centre, replacing the band Live who can't make the new dates due to scheduling issues.
"Being the first live on stage International tour, we are aware the eyes of the world will be on us championing the re-opening of live International touring not only in Australia but globally," promoter Andrew McManus said.
"I'm so proud of my team in securing exemption from Commission of Border Control and thankful to all the Captains of Industry, Ministers, Lord Mayors and SA Premier for their letters of support."
It's good timing for Cheap Trick with their 20th studio album, In Another World, to be released prior to their Australian tour dates on April 9.
Home grown acts Rose Tattoo and Electric Mary also remain on the lineup.
UTSS was originally scheduled to tour the nation early in 2020 but was pushed back to February 2021 due to the pandemic, and then again postponed.
New pre-sale tickets go on sale Wednesday February 3 at 12pm. General allocation will go on sale Friday February 5 at 9am.
