Kiama Council is helping locals to live sustainably with a series of free workshops held in recognition of World Environment Day (Saturday 5 June).

The workshops aim to provide residents with advice and tips and include a Clothes Swap Party, as well as the ever-popular Home Composting Workshop and Birds Walk and Talk at Spring Creek Wetlands.
They've also added Visible Mending Workshop to show participants beautiful ways to repair clothes otherwise headed for for the tip; an Introduction to Permaculture to make people familiar with the principles and ethics that govern permaculture design; while Kiama Library is hosting an Environmental Film Screening.
The free* workshops are available to residents of Kiama Municipality though bookings are essential.
