I called it. I'd seen it coming a mile away.
Yes, you guessed it. A new wave of the coronavirus. Omicron. It sounds like something out of space.
Now who is responsible for this outbreak?
Our government were for weeks beating their chest saying there is nothing to worry about, we've got everything under control.
They relaxed most of the restrictions and now look where we are.
I, like most people, have had a gut full of COVID-19.
The wearing of a mask, QR sign-in, keeping your distance from people as if you have got the plague. It's all for what absolutely nothing.
I've had my vaccinations, including the booster.
Two out of the three put me on my backside. What the hell is going on? Who are making these bloody decisions?
From what I can see we are going backwards with this pandemic.
So my advice would be to stack your shelves with dunny rolls, masks and food, because here we go again.
If the virus doesn't kill you, being locked up like a hermit and going insane certainly will.

WHERE IS THE COMMON SENSE
With the COVID-19 decisions and manner they were made to open up rapidly it makes me wonder about the intelligence of some our politicians and especially some of our so called leaders.
Did they think that no workers, especially front line workers, would get sick and have to isolate especially when already there were staff shortages everywhere?
Who did they think was going to do the work?
I'm convinced that they park their common sense at the polling booth when elected.
Maybe we need a few less so called educated politicians and a few more grassroots people that actually are aware of the real world and have retained their common sense.

POOL SAFETY CONCERNS
There is one only pool ladder at the old mens ( or gentlemen's) rock pool in Wollongong. (In my mind) it has never complied with the Australian Standard AS 2818- 1993 for safety and is currently missing the top tread.
Other treads are loose.
This ladder has previously been the subject of maintenance concerns from pool users and presents a hazard especially the elderly.
The pool is entering it's peak usage period over the summer holiday.
Repairs to the existing ladder are mandatory and a second standard complying ladder would be a good idea.
