COVID RULES FINANCIAL DECISION
Nobody is going to convince me that the latest decisions on COVID-19 contact is not a financial decision and nothing to do with healthcare.
How can you go from a close contact after a few minutes exposure, even outdoors, to four hours plus in a room or building.
For me it is to keep people at work even though they could be spreading the disease. As a double vaxxed confirmed case I can assure you that you don't want to get it.
Even if it is a so called mild case and it obviously affects each one differently. I don't understand why so many want to take the risk as to how it would affect them. There are unknown numbers of people with unknown underlying conditions in the community. I pray that they don't catch it.
Even a head cold makes you feel miserable and it's much worse than that

MISSED THE BOAT ON RAT TESTS
Once again the Morrison government has missed the boat during the current pandemic. Remember the Ruby Princess?
Since April 2021 the UK government had been distributing Rapid Antigen Test kits (RAT) to their constituents.
In the last week of December 2021 the Australian government placed the first mass order for these essential pandemic-fighting tools.
It's reported in the SMH (31/12/21) that during 2020 several Australian companies were talking to Canberra about manufacturing RAT kits in Australia for Australians. As a result of lack of interest, these Australian companies have forged ahead manufacturing RAT kits.
Brisbane-based Ellume cannot provide kits to Australia until mid-2022 because they have a contract with the USA. Currently producing 100,000 kits daily they are scaling up to manufacture double that amount - all will be exported to the USA. Opportunities lost by this government at a critical time.

COVID RESPONSE IS A HUNT
All this confusion about political control of state borders could have been avoided if the Federal Government had enforced full emergency power and control over the states from day 1.
Scott Morrison has led all Australians on a massive fox and hound chase through the entire medical system.
It has strained the lives of the professionals trying to cope with the enormity of the seemingly hopeless situation.
